Usage Policy and Rules

Wildfire CityPages is a local platform built for real community connection across the St. Louis metro area. We aim to create a welcoming, trustworthy space where neighbors can discuss local topics, share events, and support businesses while keeping things respectful, authentic, and spam-free.

By participating (posting, replying, or adding events), you agree to follow these simple rules. They're designed to keep discussions helpful and enjoyable for everyone.

Core Principles

🤝 Be respectful. Treat others as you'd want to be treated in person.
👤 Use your real name. Verified accounts show first and last names to logged-in members, which encourages accountability and thoughtful dialogue.
📍 Stay on topic and local. Posts should relate to our covered communities and everyday life here.

No spam or heavy advertising. Businesses have their own Hub for promotions. Please keep discussions focused on neighbor-to-neighbor conversation. View Business Hub Pricing Options

What's Not Allowed

We remove content that includes:

✕ Personal attacks, harassment, threats, or bullying
✕ Hateful language, discrimination, or slurs based on race, religion, gender, orientation, or any protected trait
✕ Explicit, obscene, or vulgar content
✕ Illegal activity or encouragement of illegal behavior
✕ Doxxing or sharing private personal information without consent
✕ Spam, scams, or repetitive off-topic posts
✕ Direct advertising or self-promotion in the discussion area (use the Business Hub instead)

Direct requests for money, handouts, loans, crowdfunding links, or financial assistance. We want to keep CityPages focused on community connection, not financial appeals. Verified charities or legitimate fundraisers such as school fundraisers or verified GoFundMe campaigns for local causes may be posted in the appropriate category with moderator approval.
✕ Users under the age of 16. You must be 16 or older to participate.

Business Participation

Verified businesses are welcome to join conversations as community members, answering questions, offering advice, or sharing helpful information naturally. Direct sales pitches or heavy promotion belong in the Business Hub, not the discussion board.

Moderation

We trust our community to self-moderate through respectful dialogue. Moderators step in only when needed to keep the space safe and welcoming. Actions may include:

✓ Removing or editing violating posts
✓ Temporarily limiting posting for repeated violations
✓ Revoking access for serious or ongoing issues

We don't have a complex voting or reporting system. Our goal is real conversation, not endless moderation. If you see something concerning, feel free to email support@wildfire.net.

Privacy Note

Logged-in verified members see real first and last names. Non-logged-in visitors see only "Local Resident" to protect privacy. We never share personal data beyond what's needed for verification and community trust.
